Destiny M. Hortona

Destiny M. Hortona, a radiant soul, was born on July 4, 1990, in the embrace of Wayne Hortona and Brenda K. Aaron. Growing up within the nurturing confines of the Odessa R-VII School District, Destiny blossomed into a kind-hearted and vibrant individual. Her early spiritual connection was fostered through her Christening at St. James A.M.E. Church in Odessa, MO, where her faith took root. In her earthly journey, Destiny dedicated herself to the art of service, sharing her warmth and kindness as a dedicated housekeeper across various locations. Her spirit found solace in the beauty of expression, whether through the fluidity of dance, the intricacy of drawing, or the artistry of hairstyling and makeup. On October 20, 2023, Destiny gracefully transitioned from this earthly realm to her eternal abode, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to resonate with those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her beloved mother, Brenda Aaron of Kansas City, MO, her father Wayne Hortona Jr. of Portland, OR, and her step-father Richie Aaron of Kansas City, MO. Destiny will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Kelisiya Hopper, Ki'Mya Hortona, and Dominick McGinnis, Jr., all of whom she cherished dearly. She is fondly remembered by her devoted sisters, Domonique Lutman (Travis) of Grain Valley, MO, TQuia Bandy (DeAnthony) of Odessa, MO, and Tionna Jones of Odessa, MO, along with a host of uncles, aunts, great uncles, great aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom were touched by her radiant spirit.
