Obituary

Gene Allen Stillman was born on September 11, 1951, in St. Joseph,Missouri. He received his education in the St. Joseph area and proudly graduated from Elwood High School in 1970. Gene Allen was a hardworking and dedicated man who understood theimportance of providing for those he loved. He worked for Light &Power for 28 years and later retired from Altec after five years of service.Gene Allen married his beloved wife, Constance Stillman, in St. Joseph, Missouri, on February 10, 2007. Together, they shared a beautiful lifefilled with love, companionship, laughter, and treasured memories.Gene Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle,and friend. He was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense ofhumor. Gene Allen loved telling jokes, talking with people, and makingthose around him laugh. He never met a stranger and had a way ofmaking conversations memorable.On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 11:25 p.m., Gene Allen departed thisearthly life at Mosaic Hospital. Gene Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Stillman and Eva Jean"Botts" Stillman, along with his siblings, Robert Hixon, Raymond Stillman, Sandra Warren, Luke, and Brian Stillman.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Constance Stillman;his siblings, Henry "Tasha" Stillman and Donna Stillman; his children, Andre' Stillman, Allen "Lucretia" Stillman, Christopher Stillman, Anitra Stillman, and Taylor "Katlyn" Stillman; his grandchildren,Joslyn, Josiah, Izabella, Shamari, Kennedi, Jeron, and Taylynn; his great-grandchild, Zion; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.Gene Allen's presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will remain forever.
