Michael Rome Mabion

Michael R. Mabion, 58, of Kansas City, Missouri, departed this life on December 26th, 2023, surrounded by the comfort of his family and friends. His valiant battle against serious medical challenges over the past year showcased his unwavering courage and enduring spirit, all embodied by his radiant smile that persisted through pain until the very end.

Born and raised in Saint Joseph, Missouri, Michael graduated from Central High School in 1983. Following his graduation, he answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Navy, where he served honorably for four years, earning an honorable discharge. In 1989, he continued his commitment to service by joining the United States Postal Service as a dedicated letter carrier, a role he fulfilled with pride and dedication for an impressive 34 years.

Michael's infectious laughter and beaming smile were his trademarks, capable of lighting up any room. A magnetic force, he drew people toward him, accepting and loving each person who crossed his path. Passionate, loving, diligent, and protective, Michael's presence left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

In his leisure time, Mike found solace and joy in the company of his family, indulging in the melodies of old-school music, and passionately following football. His legacy lives on through the love he shared and the memories he created.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Jacqueline Mabion and Denis Mozee,
and his brother Alonzo M. Mitchell. He is survived by his Wife: Rochelle Mabion, Son: Mike Mabion,
Daughter: Ashleigh Mabion, his grandchildren: Zariya Mabion, Chevelle Ross, Gabrielle Munoz, Phoenix
Mabion, Dallas Mabion, Za'Kyrie Mabion, Ziyana Mabion, goddaughter Jade Mabion. Siblings: Toni Hayes (Keith),
Shelia Mozee, Robert Wilkinson (Brenda), Marvin Green (Tiella), Upanda Mozee, Tyson Carriger (Crystal) and Tyler Mozee, two uncles Ramadhan Washington and Frank Bell.
He is also survived by countless cousins, nieces and nephews, The Cleveland Ohio Family, and a host of
friends.
