In Loving Memory of Tyree Anthony Wilson
September 4, 1974 – October 4, 2025

Tyree Anthony Wilson, affectionately known by many as "Tank" or "Reese," passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on September 4, 1974, Tyree was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nora K. Wilson, and his father, Arthur Lee "Pops" Smith.

In 1999, Tyree made his home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and deep, lasting friendships. That same year, he met Cheryl and Dominic shortly after the birth of his first daughter, Tyana. In 2003, he welcomed his second daughter, Tyesha. His children were his entire world. The love and devotion he had for them were undeniable—everyone who knew Tyree knew how proud he was of his kids.

Known for his big heart and generous spirit, Tyree was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His infectious smile, captivating stories, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Above all, he was a devoted father and a proud grandfather to his three beautiful granddaughters.

Tyree's kindness, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his father, David McKinney Sr., of St. Joseph, Missouri; three brothers: Nelson (Rita) of Sioux City, Iowa; Dale of Kansas City, Missouri; and David McKinney Jr. of St. Joseph, Missouri. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Trey (Marissa), DJ Wilson, Devin, Emily (Josh), and TreShan.

Tyree's legacy lives on through his children: sons Dominic (Nevada) and Xavier Cooper; daughters Tyana Wilson and Tyesha (Hayden), all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was the proud grandfather of McKenzie, McKinley, and McKenna Wilson.

He will also be fondly remembered by numerous cousins and extended family members in St. Joseph, Missouri, and Sious Falls, South Dakota, who loved him deeply.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
